National Night Out, as a child, was a GREAT away to meet the new kids in town before school started and playing night games (kick the can etc.) for adults it was a great time to become familiarized with new families, any problems or successes that happened that year; along with complaints and ideas to become more progressive. Our little town doesn’t mingle with new comers much and that’s a stigma I would like erased from our legacy. We could do hotdogs and chips for all I care. Or do it at 6:30 and leave out dinner for the first time. Have some chairs, some lights music and potluck desserts. Celebrate America, Belfield and each other.
